UGC Edit Workflow — setup

This adds one command to Claude Code, /ugc-edit-workflow, that turns footage a real creator filmed for you into finished UGC ads or Meta ads. It goes through the clips, reads your script, finds winning ads in the same style to use as editing references, builds the cut plus hook variants and a short cutdown, lets you review every cut frame by frame, and hands you the finished files ready for Meta and TikTok. Nothing is generated by AI, so there is no generation cost. You do not need to run anything yourself. Claude Code does the setup.

1. Install (2 minutes)

1. Download and unzip the package.

2. Open Claude Code in the unzipped folder.

3. Paste this message:

> Set up the UGC Edit Workflow from this folder: run install.sh, check that the tools listed in SETUP.md are present, install any that are missing, and tell me what you still need from me.

4. Start a new Claude Code session. The commands /ugc-edit-workflow and /review are now available in every project.

2. What Claude installs for you

ToolWhat it is for
HyperFramesthe video editor and renderer
ffmpegvideo conversion and measurement
whispertranscribes the creator's clips so captions match what they say
Node and Pythonneeded by the tools above
Real-ESRGANsharpens footage, free; every export comes as a normal and an upscaled copy

3. Optional: Treg, for finding reference ads

If you want Claude to search the Meta Ad Library for winning ads to use as editing references, it needs Treg access. Ask the person who runs the ad budget for a Treg team invite to your email, then tell Claude "I have a Treg invite". Reference searches cost cents. Without Treg, Claude uses your own reference library or references you hand it.

4. What to have ready

5. Make an ad

In your project folder, type:

/ugc-edit-workflow

Claude explains each step before doing it. It first reports what is in the footage and what is missing, shows you a shortlist of reference ads to pick from, and proposes the edit plan. When a cut is ready, it sends you a review link where you can pause on any frame and leave a note. Say "done" when you have finished, and it applies your notes. At the end you choose the files you want (9:16 and 4:5 at 1080 are the defaults, each as a normal and an upscaled copy, plus hook variants and a 15-second cutdown) and get a folder with the finished videos. One tip for uploading to Meta: Advantage+ creative enhancements can change your text, music and cropping after upload. Turn off the ones that alter text or music so the cut you reviewed is what runs.
